Africa Day at the Zeitz MOCAA promises to be a hive of activity. Saturday, May 25, has been scheduled with special performances by some of Cape Town’s best school choirs, artists and musicians. There will also be a 10% discount on memberships (which gives the bearer free year-round access to the museum) and the restaurant will serve an Africa Day special menu at a discounted rate at Zeitz MOCAA Food. Children under 18 will enjoy free admission all day.
Africa Day Programming details:
10.15am to 11am
Linge Primary School Choir (Nyanga): A choral performance in the BMW Atrium.
11.15am to 12pm
Chris Hani High School Choir (Khayelitsha): A choral performance in the BMW Atrium.
12.30pm to 1.30pm
Africa Day Children’s Storytelling with Pedro, the Music Man: A storytelling session for children of all ages Pedro, the music man will unlock the magic of African stories through word and song.
2.30pm to 3pm
Musical performance by Hout Bay Ingoma Choir: The choir will perform a recital of their popular songs from the Atrium Bowl for visitors passing through the entrance.
3.30pm to 4.30pm
Musical Performance by Azah: A special musical intervention in the BMW Atrium.
