Cape Philharmonic Orchestra to ring in the New Year

New Year would not be the same without Richard Cock and the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra ringing it in, Viennese style.

Two concerts at the Cape Town City Hall on Saturday, January 5, at 3pm and 7pm, will feature soprano Hlengiwe Mkhwanazi and tenor Sipho Fubesi as they waltz or march you down the Blue Danube. Works include the gorgeous overture and Vilja from ‘Die Fledermaus’, the Brindisi from ‘La Traviata’, ‘Lippen Schweigen’ from ‘The Merry Widow’, Dein is Mein Ganzes herz and Strauss father and son melodies to hum and sing.
