Durbanville Craft Market, the market where people and pets connect, will be back on Saturday, September 1 (weather permitting).
The market was cancelled last month due to the unpredictable weather. As a result, the organisers have had to move their “Strut-a Mutt” hunt to this forthcoming instalment of the market. The fun mini treasure hunt starts at 11am.
There will also be a Human and Hound Look-Alike competition, presented by Fisantekraal Animal Welfare, on the day.
Being one of the oldest craft markets in Cape Town, the organisers have managed to keep their market true to the name “Craft Market” – strictly only handcrafts made with love by their creative crafters are on sale, as well as of course homemade eats and “the best” homemade bakes in the tea garden.
New crafters are welcome to apply. Call Anni on 083 3318658; or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Visit www.facebook.com/DurbanvilleCraftMarket/ for more information.
Make sure to pop in at the Durbanville Craft Market in the beautiful gardens of the Durbanville Presbyterian Church, 5 Louw street (cnr Louw and Hafele) – next to the Fire Station, behind the Police Station, from 9am to 2pm on the day.
