The largest museum of contemporary art in Africa in more than 100 years, Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA), will open its doors free of charge to the public on Freedom Day, 27 April 2018. In line with the museum’s mission of Access for All and the encouragement of intercultural understanding, as well as to commemorate the first post-apartheid elections held on this day in 1994, entrance to the museum will be free from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, to avoid overcrowding, visitors will still be required to present a ticket for entry to the museum. Tickets will be available––at no cost––at the door on Freedom Day.
