Cape Town Tango Marathon
The inaugural International Cape Town Tango Marathon (CTTM) – also the first ever large-scale Argentine Tango dance and music event in Southern Africa – takes place this year.
The marathon includes three days of continuous Argentine Tango dancing at venues around the Mother City. Music is provided by an international cast of DJs, as well as the SAMA nominated Cape Town Tango Ensemble.

Masters of Magic: Marcel Oudejans
While Monday Night Magic has firmly established itself over five seasons as being the show for grownups, popular demand has prompted Cape Town Magic Club to create a new family show for the young and the young at heart. Moët & Chandon Champagne Christmas Tree
Moët & Chandon invite the public to the unveiling of their Champagne Christmas Tree at the V&A Waterfront. The tree lighting ceremony is hosted by local celebrity, Maps Maponyane, and boasts an interactive 10-meter tall Champagne Tree, made entirely of over 1 500 recycled Moët and Chandon champagne bottles. In the festive spirit, attendees are able to send messages to their loved ones on the night.

Champagne & Gin Summer Concert
Atlantic Beach Country Club hosts a Champagne and Gin Summer Concert, featuring live music and some of the top wine/champagne estates and gin breweries in Cape Town. Guests are kept entertained throughout the day with a full lineup of local acts on stage, while they sample the drinks on offer and are served fresh oysters, tapas and sushi. A dedicated kiddies are with a child minder to watch the little ones is available at the event as well.

Festival of White Lights
Spier hosts their annual Festival of White Lights, where sculptures and light installations illuminating a diverse collection of artistic performances choreographed by Jay Pather. Guests are able to enjoy a picnic from the Spier Farm Kitchen by booking one in advance, or they are able to purchase farm-style food from PJ Vadas’ Hoghouse BBQ and Bakery on the Werf. AFB Langebaanweg Air Show

GrandWest hosts the Transformers Exhibition, an immersive and interactive exhibition that features 14 animatronic Transformers, 9 sculptures scaled between two and nine metres and another 20 statues varying in size. They are made from reused car parts, metal and other repurposed materials. The exhibition also features a children’s area where young fans can have their photos taken.
