Pikkewyntjies/Penguinkidz Pre-School Bettys Bay musical fundraiser

Dr Bruce Copley is collaborating with cellist, keyboardist and teacher Barbara Kennedy in a special musical performance to help raise funds for school clothing for the 2018 Grade One leaners of Pikkewyntjies/Penguinkidz Pre-School Bettys Bay. Copley and Kennedy have enthralled audiences all over the world with their skilful musical compositions showcasing dozens of instruments from global cultures.

Jazz on the Deck

The Royal Cape Yacht Club presents Jazz on the Deck, where guests enjoy a Sunday lunch while listening to a live Jazz performance. This edition features the Alvin Dyers Band, who play a signature sound that blends elements of Latin, Cape Goema, African and Jazz.

Endless Daze Festival

Psych Night and Vans present the Endless Daze Festival, a boutique music and arts event set in a safe and secure outdoor environment. This year’s line-up features Thee Oh Sees (USA), Moon Duo (USA), Medicine Boy, Amy Ayanda, Runaway Nuns, The Deadly Bites, Hezron Chetty and The Zugzwang and more. Food trucks and a fully-stocked, licensed bar is available throughout the festival.

Canti e Corde

Canti e Corde features Lente Louw and Matildie Thom-Wium (mezzo sopranos) and Uwe Grosser and Vera Vukovic (lutes, theorbos, baroque guitar). Two expressive singers and two multi-instrumentalists bring to life the rich poetry of the renaissance in a concert showcasing almost every possible combination of two voices, two lutes, two theorbos and one baroque guitar.
