The 5th annual OneSight Acoustics series of music events is back, with its first event being headlined by GoodLuck. This event features comedian Rob van Vuuren as MC for the day, while audiences are entertained by live performances by GoodLuck, The Rudimentals, Ben Dey and The Concrete Lions and DJ Invizable. The Brass Bell offers discounts on food during the event.

Benjamin Jephta Akoustik Quartet
Benjamin Jephta, the Standard Bank Young Artist Award winner for Jazz, performs live with his newly formed quartet at the South African College of Music. He performs original jazz compositions interwoven with influences of hip-hop, rock and electronic music. The compositions have a strong African and gospel influence and the sound of the Cape where Jephta grew up.

Violin Sonatas with Amalia Hall and José Dias
The Cape Town Concert Series presents violinist Amalia Hall with pianist José Dias. Recently appointed as Concertmaster of Orchestra Wellington, Amalia Hall is widely recognised as one of the foremost young violinists to emerge from New Zealand, having received widespread acclaim for her ability to move audiences with her inherent musicality and natural facility. Band Stand at Artscape
The Artscape Theatre play host to a number of young musicians to participate in this year’s Band Stand. Jitsvinger
Afrikaans hiphop artist, Jitsvinger, launches the Jitsologie EP. The show features the infamous Salutas rapper, Youngsta and R&B Soul artist, Claire Phillips. Inspired by jazz, influenced by his love of Afrikaans and indigenous culture, passionate about social change and immersed within Hip Hop, Jitsvinger is more than just a rapper. Since his debut album Skeletsleutel in 2007, Jitsvinger has grown into a diverse performer, able to embrace multiple platforms.
