Perdeberg October Festival

Perdeberg Winery presents their annual October Festival, a day dedicated to family-orientated activities and wine tasting. The event includes a dedicated kiddies play area under supervision, a foam pit, water slide and a mini theatre with marshmallow and milk pairings. Food trucks, live entertainment, a bubbly bar, tutored tasting sessions in the Quagga room and selected wine specials are also available at this year’s festival.

Art Crawl: Athi-Patra Ruga

The next edition of the art crawl, Chasing Rainbows with Athi-Patra Ruga, sees participants walking from City Hall to Woodstock, while gaining insight into the nature of his public performance practice. The walk is followed by an intensive visit to his studio, where guests preview new works and view his new film Queens in Exile. The crawl concludes at Whatiftheworld gallery with champagne, refreshments and light snacks.

Adventure Weekend at Benguela

Big Bay Events presents an Adventure Weekend at Benguela Cove Wine Estate, filled with running and a cool dip in the Bot River Lagoon. Food and drinks are on sale at the event. Saturday sees participants plunge into the lagoon and jolt around the farm for 7km. Sunday’s event sees a 500m, 1km, 3km and 5km swim taking place across the Bot River Lagoon.

The Halloween Train – Kids Dream Fest

The Kids Dream Fest presents The Halloween Train, an outdoor children and family festival that is a light-hearted take on Halloween. The famous Blue Train in the park is converted into a feverish Ghost Train, with added troll tunnels, random confused zombie attacks and other ghoulish “happenings” along its journey. Guests are entertained by performers in scary costumes, backed up by a Halloween-themed park full of surprises, music and a range of wicked all hallows food and drinks.

Company’s Garden Walking Tour

Go off the beaten path on a Culture Connect SA walking tour of the Company’s Garden. Author Suzie Joubert enlightens on the fascinating history of what was once a refreshment station to supply fresh produce for European sailors. Sneaker Exchange 

Sneaker Exchange, officially known as the largest sneaker trading event in Africa where sneaker collectors and aficionados buy, sell or trade sneakers as well as buy locally produced apparel and footwear. Clipper Round the World Yacht Race

The public are invited to the spectating event, the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, where they join the crew of amateur sailors as they celebrate crossing the Atlantic from Uruguay before taking on the Southern Ocean to Australia in their 40 000 nautical mile race around the planet.
