Celebrating Architecture in Africa

Celebrating Architecture in Africa is a free public colloquium that discusses the winning projects of the inaugural Africa Architecture Awards (the first Pan-African architecture competition). Participants at this event include members of the Steering Panel and Master Jury for the Africa Architecture Awards. The colloquium consists of three sessions in total, with the first two sessions moderated by writer and critic Sean O’ Toole, and the third hosted by Ghanaian architect Joe Addo.

Open Streets Main Road

Open Streets Cape Town presents Open Streets Main Road, where a 5km section of the city’s M4 (Main Road) is reserved for people, not cars. Closed to motorised vehicles, it becomes an open space for pedestrians, cyclists, skateboarders, wheelchair users and other non-motorised transport users to move in safety.

Say Cheese Artisan Cheese Fair

The Say Cheese Artisan Cheese Fair is a two-day showcase of local artisanal and imported cheeses and cheese complements such as olives, wine, beer, breads, charcuterie, preserves and more. The event features over 40 stands indoor with food stalls, bar and restaurant area, kids entertainment, indoor and outdoor seating and light music, as well as a chefs area with demonstrations by cheesemakers, well-known foodies and chefs.

Monday Night Magic: Season 5

The Cape Town Magic Club hosts its 5th season of Monday Night Magic, where audiences are entertained with a variety of illusions, sleight of hand, mentalism and magic. Guests are welcomed to the show by the members of Black Orchid Burlesque South Africa. Guests are able to enjoy pre- or post-show drinks, including a special Monday Night Magic cocktail. Then, downstairs all manner of mystery unfolds, where nearly 30 magicians who specialise in various disciplines, entertain audience members.
