Sannie Fox at The House of Machines

Vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Sannie Fox performs with her band at the House of Machines. Fox’s – who has Afrikaans, Portuguese and Welsh roots, voracious pipes and a Stratocaster in hand – music is described as eclectic and an amalgamation of 70’s rock, psychedelic soul and rhythm and blues.

Cape Town Baroque Festival

Baroque music ensemble, Camerata Tinta Barocca presents the inaugural Cape Town Baroque Festival, which consists of seven events and features works by 17th- and 18th-century composers, performed by baroque specialists. A walking tour of the historical buildings presented by the heritage architect John Rennie is also available at the event.

Lisa Bauer’s Moon Song

Blah Blah Bar presents South African Jazz vocalist Lisa Bauer’s new project Moon Song, which is inspired by her connection to the moon cycles, regeneration and the power of vocalisation. The performance features her composition Moon Suite, original compositions as well as tunes by some of Bauer’s favourite, unique American jazz composers and artists.

Handful of Keys

Pieter Toerien Productions presents another instalment of A Handful of Keys, directed and created by Ian von Memerty. The performance unravels as a constant surprise with “devastating wit and musical mastery” – from piano pyrotechnics to inspiring inventiveness. For the first time since the show’s launch in 1994, there are three keyboards and three pianists on stage – Roelof Colyn, 19-year old James Smith and a special guest.
