The Rockets 50th Anniversary

GrandWest hosts South African dance band The Rockets’ 50th anniversary concert. The event also features artists that The Rockets have provided a platform for, such as Alistair Isobell, Karin Kortje, Emo Adams and Loukmaan Adams. This one night celebration features dance music with audio visual material, intimate interviews of how the journey started, anecdotal stories of national tours and altercations with the “law” of the day and sharing experiences of sharing a stage with artists such as Luther Vandross, Alicia Keys, The O’ Jays and more.

Nasty C presents The Ivyson Tour

Queen in Concert

The Stellenbosch City Orchestra presents Michael Hankinson’s Queen in Concert. The show includes two hours of highlights from classic rock band Queen’s music with popular hits such as Barcelona, Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites the Dust, and more. Fidelio Trio

The Endler Concert Series presents the London-based Fidelio Trio as part of their Prestige Series. Sunflower Music Festival 2017

The annual trance music event, Sunflower Festival, is back in 2017, featuring local and imported artists. Spring Symphony Season: Lucienne Renaudin Vary

The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) presents the first concert, Summertime in Spring, in the Spring Symphony Season. This event features trumpet “Wunderkind” Lucienne Renaudin Vary (18), who is conducted by Bernhard Gueller. The programme includes Hummel’s Concerto for Trumpet in E, Mozart’s Overture, La Nozze di Figaro, Rachmaninov’s Romance and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 in E-flat, Eroica.
