In Motion at Ground Art Caffe

Ground Art Caffe hosts In Motion, an exhibition of boat designs by acclaimed Naval Architect, Kobus Potgieter. The opening event provides an opportunity for boat enthusiasts to view these collector’s pieces, with complimentary wine, beverages and canapés being served. Potgieter has designed boats for the various Navies, Coast Guards and Special Operations units around the world.

Art Exhibition at Artscape

The Artscape Women’s Humanity Arts Festival’s official opening sees a solo art exhibition by sculptor Evette Weyers, entitled The Wonders of the African Continent and the Sea. The body of work is on display for the duration of the festival. Weyers uses ancient images like the Egyptian Sphinx and the Mantis from San folklore to create her own personal mythology, born from her experiences and insights.

Underwater Photographer of the Year 2017

The Underwater Photographer of the Year is a London-based annual competition that seeks to celebrate photographs that are captured beneath the surface of the sea, lakes, rivers and even swimming pools. Finalists were selected from 20 countries including South Africa. After viewing, guests can then step below sea-level, amidst 18th Century ruins, and learn the story of the “Cape of Storms”.
