Savour the flavour at The Red Table on Father’s Day

Show dad how much he means to you by treating him to a lunch feast, “brimming with full-blown flavour”, at Nederburg’s The Red Table restaurant on Sunday, June 18.

The winter-inspired menu, specially designed by chef Edmore Ruzoza, offers a salmon fish cake, red Thai curry and prawn tempura; or a Vietnamese duck parcel, potato rӧsti, goat’s cheese and soy ginger glaze; as a starter. For the main course, select from three options, including braised lamb shoulder, Parmesan peas, risotto, roasted winter vegetables and classic red wine jus; Parmesan and Gruyère Kingklip, homemade potato chips, wilted greens and dill cherry tomato sauce; and spinach roulade, tomato pomodoro, fresh basil pesto and marinated feta.

Dessert is a choice between malva baked cheesecake with hot butterscotch sauce, and chocolate fondant with berry and dried fruit compote, served with vanilla ice cream.

The three-course meal costs R350 per head, excluding wine and service charge, and commences at 12pm.

Children are also catered for, with classic bolognaise offered at R50 a head, and chicken goujons and potato chips at R55 per head.
