Brandy & Blues Evening

Backsberg Estate Cellars presents their inaugural series of Brandy and Blues evenings, with the first event featuring Valiant Swart. These intimate gigs allow guests to get up close and personal with South Africa’s foremost blues artists, and the music is complemented with a glass of Sydney Back Brandy or Glühwein on arrival, followed by a two-course dinner of slow-roasted lamb shank and Sydney Brandy pudding.

Cape Town Big Band Jazz Festival

This musical delight will provide young aspiring musicians with an opportunity to play in front of a knowledgeable and appreciative audience. The aim of the annual jazz celebration, which is now in its 19th year, is to give players in schools, colleges and community bands the chance hone their talents and encourage career-building development through education.

Jazz at The Crypt

Born in San Diego, California in 1960, composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist William Haubrich has established himself on the local jazz and African music scenes. Willie Haubrich on trumpet/trombone accompanied by Andrew Lilley-piano, Charles Lazar-bass, Jarryd West-drums.
