This is a 3 hour course covering both the theory behind the perfect cup as well as some practical coffee making. With everything a home barista needs, including pouring an espresso, milk dynamics and how to not burn the milk when making a latte. You will be guided by one of the best barista trainers in South Africa.

Garden Walks at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden for the week

A walk with various guides through Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.  The walks are free but garden entrance fee applies. Walks are approximately 50 or 90 minutes in duration, and highlight seasonal interest in the Garden.

Bird walk at Kirstenbosch NBG

Stroll through Kirstenbosch with an experienced birder, and spot and identify some of the 125 bird species known to occur in the Garden. Bring walking shoes, a hat and water, as well as weather proof clothing.

Eagle Encounters at Spier

For avian enthusiasts, there are few better places to visit than the Eagles Encounter raptor rehabilitation centre, which is based at the historic Spier wine farm in Stellenbosch. The wildlife conservation venue offers a home to injured, poisoned and hand-reared birds of prey, with the aim of rehabilitating and releasing as many of them as possible.

Le Bonheur Crocodile farm 

With more than 1000 crocodiles on its sunny-weather-geared farm, the Paarl-based Bonheur treats youngsters to a close encounter of the reptile kind. The family-run venture conducts guided tours of its teeming ponds every 45 minutes and even gives visitors a chance to hold or pet a baby crocodile!

Alpaca-Loom
