Get the family together for a fun day out at the Wynberg Festival
With the sad announcement that the Community Chest Carnival won’t be taking place this year, The Wynberg Festival will set out to fill this void. On Friday and Saturday, March 24 and 25, Maynardville Park is being taken over by this family-friendly fairground of fun in Cape Town.
Visitors can look forward to being treated to local vocal groups, DJs and dance performers, all of whom will hit the stage throughout the day to provide a pleasant soundtrack to proceedings. ‘Idols’ alumni Karin Kortje and London Louw, as well as the likes of Dr. Jules, DJ Godfrey and DJ Superfly will keep the tunes flowing. The kids will be kept entertained with face painting, fun-fair rides, magicians, and plenty of games.
There will be no alcohol allowed at the festival and the right of admission is reserved by the organisers. This event is for the whole family, and in the words of the organisers, “inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.”
There will be stalls selling trinkets, food and drinks. You’ll be able to have some fun with the music stage, play a few fun-fair games, then have a bite to eat and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
* Tickets for this event are available via Computicket and at the gate on the evening.
