Get ready to paint the town pink in aid of a good cause, because the Pick n Pay Women’s Walk is back. This year’s event will be taking place on Saturday, March 25, with things kicking off at the Green Point Stadium Forecourt at 7am.
The Pick n Pay Women’s Walk is a series of 5km fun walks taking place across South Africa and is open to men, women and children of all ages. The aim of the Pick n Pay Women’s Walks is to raise awareness around breast cancer and also to raise funds for the PinkDrive.
The PinkDrive is a Public Benefit Organisation powering South Africa’s first mobile PinkDrive Mammography Unit and PinkDrive Educational Unit through the country, driving home the fact that “Early detection saves lives”. The Pick n Pay Women’s Walk is not just a fun walk; there are many activities that happen on the day. MC’s in each region will keep participants entertained and ready them before each walk. There will also be live entertainment, a lucky draw prize-giving, best dressed competitions and more.
