The Vineyard Hotel in Newlands will once again be hosting their annual Festival of Bubbles on Sunday, March 12. This event is a celebration of bubbles from across South Africa, including a few international appearances. It promises to be a a personal heaven to all MCC lovers.
Guests can sip on and sample a large variety of bubblies on the expansive lawns of the Vineyard Hotel, while enjoying background entertainment and crafted canapes.
The events should be great news for those who missed out on the recent Vineyard Hotel’s six-course sparkling-wine-paired dinner prepared by Michelin-starred chef Roger Jones. This event also marks the start of the Vineyard Hotel’s ‘Tastes of 2017’ wine-paired dinners.
This year, guests will get to celebrate the pride of 20 Methode Cap Classique (MCC) producers, as well as at least one international bubbly. That translates into more than 40 bubblies available for tasting on the day, including classics like Simonsig Kaapse Vonkel and Villiera Tradition Brut, as well as cult favourites lie De Grendel Brut, L’Ormarins Brut Rosé and Steenberg 1682 Pinot Noir.
There will be live background entertainment to accompany guests’ sipping and munching.
* Cost to attend is R250 per person.
