Cape Town Comedy Club will be presenting its first ever one-man show with South Africa’s funniest Jewish Xhosa speaking comedian, Nik Rabinowitz, in ‘Fortyfied. After a run at the Baxter Theatre, ‘Fortyfied; will show at the Cape Town Comedy Club on Monday and Tuesday, February 6 and 7.
Rabinowitz has just turned forty, and is on the verge of a midlife crisis. Except that apparently forty is the new thirty, so now he’s not sure when to have the crisis, which is a crisis in itself.
‘Fortyfied’ explores a variety of subjects. There are stories and there are accents, all done in Rabinowitz’s customary humorous style.
Cape Town Comedy Club, the only dedicated comedy venue in the Western Cape, is a dinner theatre and has a full restaurant and bar available.
* The show starts 8.30pm. Dinner is served from 6pm. Happy hour is from 6 to 7pm.
Tickets are R150 and available at Computicket.
Find the venue at 6 Dock Road, The Pumphouse, V&A Waterfront.
