Magnificent Cape Point is a place of wild and dramatic beauty, heart stopping views, endemic fynbos and diverse fauna. From February 1, City Sightseeing’s new Cape Point Explorer will take visitors to the reserve via some of Cape Town’s most spectacular areas of natural beauty.
The Cape Point Explorer is a full day’s excursion with an English-speaking guide aboard a luxury air-conditioned coach, featuring a drive through picturesque Muizenberg, Fish Hoek and a visit to Boulders Beach with its famous colony of African penguins. The tour then continues to Cape Point, with an optional hike to the Cape of Good Hope headland.
The return route takes in the pretty seaside villages of Scarborough and Kommetjie and the Ou Kaapse Weg mountain pass with spectacular vistas towards False Bay.
The Cape Point Explorer will run daily (except for March 12 and April 15) with staggered departure times from 9.45am from select City Sightseeing bus stops in Camps Bay, Sea Point, Green Point and the city, as well as City Sightseeing tour offices at stop 1 (V&A Waterfront) and stop 5 (Long Street). The return time is approximately 5.30pm.
City Sightseeing Cape Town has been in operation since 2002 and “takes great pride in providing sightseers with a consistently high-quality travel experience on luxury, state-of-the-art buses.” City Sightseeing is the first bus company in South Africa to be certified carbon neutral.
