Hailed as Africa’s richest day; the who’s who of South African royalty came out to play and rub shoulders in a dress code fit only for blue bloods, Avant Garde with a touch of red was the defining key of reminiscent glamour and exemplified by celebrity guests hosted by Mumm.
South Africa saw the likes of Jessica Nkosi who wore a daring Avant Garde creation and needless to say left onlookers breathless with admiration for her gracious style on the red carpet, rapper Da L.E.S wore House of Ole with a splash of red, while Jeannie D showcased the magic of Warrick Gautier. Other A-listers spotted in the exclusive Mumm Paddock Club were the likes of Khanyi Mbau, Kefi Boo, Nomuzi, and the sensational Amanda Du Pont, Cindy Nel, our very own Razmatazz Minister Mr. Fikile Mbalula all of who proudly flaunted their designer creations. The guests enjoyed the races; scenery and Marquee activity whilst insatiably sipping on refreshing Mumm Cocktails and the newly beautified Mumm Cordon Rouge.
Mumm went on to Wow the crowds with a Daring stunt; whereby Didier Mariotti- Cellar Master for Mumm champagne, fearlessly leapt out of a helicopter bringing with him a Magnum of French Liquid bliss; which resulted in a magnificent and effortless charade of Sabrage , using Mumm’s finest Champagne to signify and celebrate the start of the main race, …
Indisputably the most exuberant marquee in the vicinity, The Mumm Paddock Club reigned the day. As the sun went down the line up heated up with Spe and Naves, Touch, French DJ Rene, Video mapping, water screens and a dramatic dancing exhibitions.
