GrandWest will celebrate the Chinese New Year with a colourful showcase of Chinese sights, colours and culture on Saturday, January 28, from 4pm to 7pm in The District.
Dragon dancers, exquisite red lanterns, Chinese drum beaters and traditional fan dancers together with an array of Chinese-inspired activities will ring in the Chinese New Year on the GrandWest complex – the most significant of all Chinese festivals and holidays.
“GrandWest will be a hive of activity and vivid colour in celebration. The dragon is a popular representation for the Chinese New Year, as a symbol of strength and good luck. A Chinese New Year 2017 celebration would not be complete without a dragon dance. We invite everyone to join us in wishing our Chinese patrons Happy New Year,” says Nikki Botha, Marketing Manager at GrandWest.
