Cape Town Art Guide – 27 Jan

Lou Ros
Lou Ros’ art is centred around the de-structuring of form, rather than simply reproducing the original in perfection. Originally a graffiti artist, Ros exhibits his new works in the City of Cape Town for the second time in his career. The artist is based in Paris.

Tel: (021) 422 1599

Robin Rhode – Path and Fields
Rhode makes drawings spontaneously, whether he works on paper, canvas, the walls of Johannesburg or the walls inside the gallery. He acts like a composer in assembling this exhibition, bringing together individual pieces that range from the peculiar, muted and elusive to the expressive, effervescent and even boisterous.

Joshua Miles
Miles creates a combination of dark urban wastelands and natural backdrops, unlike his tranquil rural landscapes, in order to manifest imagery typical of contemporary Cape Town. He depicts smoggy views of the Woodstock and Salt River areas juxtaposed with Table Mountain in early morning light.
