Daniel Baron to perform live at Hanover Street

Celebrate the start of the holidays with a festive show by award winning musician, singer and songwriter Daniel Baron at GrandWest’s Hanover Street on Saturday, December 3.
With 15 radio hits and five number ones to his name, Baron has forged a name for himself on the South African music scene since 2012 when he released his debut album.

The album, ‘It’s Time’, included the rock/rap collaboration, ‘Not here’ with hip hop performer, ProVerb. The song hit number one of Top40SA and remained in that position for two weeks. His other hits, including ‘All over now’ and ‘So much more’ also achieved radio chart success, peaking at the number two position.

Since then, he has continued to build a reputation for his interactive stage presence and profoundly crafted songs carrying messages of love, inspiration, hope and faith.
In 2015 his album ‘Apollo’ was released, yielding hits including ‘Indestructible’, ‘Heartbreak City’ and ‘Free’.

In the same year, his collaboration, ‘Say what you want’, with South African boy band Adam was selected as the theme song for the South African film, ‘Vir Altyd’. Baron’s latest hit, ‘Children of the sun’ broke records by debuting on the 5FM Top 30 at number one. It was also the top selling South African dance song on iTunes for three consecutive weeks.

“We are delighted to host Daniel Baron on our stage this festive season. It promises to be a musical treat for his Cape Town fans,” says Elouise Matthys, PR and Promotions Manager at GrandWest, adding that GrandWest proudly supports local talent.
Baron takes to the stage at about 10pm, but doors will open earlier at 9pm. Entrance is R70 per person.
