The social community of Johannesburg is characterized by multiple classes and diverse groups of people from all walks of life. Fun and Class Relations and Ink Entertainment have joined forces to celebrate the “Jozi life” and create a networking platform for the largely dispersed professionals, creatives and entrepreneurs in and around the city of gold with their event Carpe Diem.
This happening will take place at Constitution Hill on Saturday, November 19, from 12pm onwards.
The event “encourages a networking space and formation of synergies to empower and uplift each other” in a chilled environment with a food market component, music, art and a buffet of youth conscious, classy brands that support this initiative.
Mi Casa and Heavy K are the two acts that have been confirmed for the event, which is “fitting for this celebration of young aspirant lives as they themselves are young artists who have proved to be worth what it takes to penetrate the market,” say the organisers.
Mi Casa has become renowned for redefining the South African music industry landscape with their creative beats and catchy tunes. The band’s soulful house sound merges dance music, jazz, vocals and disco. The band has been making waves on the local music scene for a number of years, but the name Mi Casa was firmly entrenched in 2011 when the band was chosen as the opening act for American rapper Drake when he performed to a crowd of over 4000 fans at a concert in Johannesburg.
Mi Casa comprises three multi-talented individuals: Dr Duda, producer DJ; J-Something, vocalist and guitarist, and Mo-T, the trumpeter. Their musical talents blend to create the distinctive sound that has captured untold numbers of ears across the country.
