The Mother City was doused in colour on Saturday, November 12, as runners descended on the Color Run, which took place at the Green Point Track.
Thousands of participants in tutus, colourful wigs and butterfly wings gathered at the track for the biggest, brightest and happiest five kilometres. Cmmercial radio station Heart FM was on hand to entertain the runners. Heart FM DJs were on the decks and welcomed Color Runners with awesome beats as the run got under way.

Color Runners descended in groups, where they were doused from head to toe in different colours at each kilometre.
Along the way runners had the time of their lives, making friends, bonding with their families and taking pictures to capture the moment.
Just after the second kilometre the runners were supplied with a soda drink to ease the thirst.

The runners looked like a rainbow by the time they made it to the finish line, covered with different colours from top to bottom.
After the run, runners gathered at the stadium to enjoy the music. Heart DJs put on their own version of ‘SA Idols’ where they gave away prizes to the participants.
If you are looking for a fun way to spent time with your family or friends, then be sure to take part in next year’s Color Run.
