Cape Town Bierfest

In it’s sixth year running, it brings its lederhosen, dirndls, pigtails, oompah music, frauleins, eisbeins und jugs of specially-made, craft biers. Leading each show of oompah music, is award-winning actor and stand-up comedian Brendan Murray in the role of Klaus Über Hüber; the ‘mayor of Munich’, with a supporting cast of frauliens and Rainer the jolly innkeeper. Guests are able to participate in a range of traditional Oktoberfest-inspired games  and other audience participatory activities.

Boschendal Heritage Rose Garden High Tea

Dr Gwen Fagan, honorary president of the Heritage Rose Society of South Africa, identified and collected historical roses from cemeteries and mission villages before establishing the rose garden on Boschendal Farm. Jan’s focus on Boschendal is to integrate agriculture into sustainable landscaping and he has continued to restore and upgrade the original garden over the years.

Ripleys Believe it or Not Expo

The displays are highly educational covering themes including space, the ocean, human oddities, giants and little people, sport, Asia, Africa, vampires and lizards. With more than 170 artifacts and interactive exhibits. Collected by Mr Robert Ripley himself and by the team of Ripley Entertainment Inc in the US.
