Big names to mix it with up-and-comers at The Soweto Spring Festival

The Soweto Spring Festival is set to rock Mofolo Park on Saturday, October 29, from 12pm onwards.
The festival combines an entertainment program including music, dance and numerous other activities. The festival aims to offer the richness of Soweto`s entertainment in full, bringing out upcoming and established artists from and around South Africa and Soweto.

This will strengthen Soweto as a destination market for entertainment while educating people about the culture and heritage of Soweto and also inspiring the youth to be globally driven, as exposing SA talent is the organisers’ core mission.

This outdoor event caters for the young and old and will offer two main stages with different genres, giving everyone a feel of the music that they enjoy.
The Kwaito stage, dubbed ‘van Toeka’, will be aimed at reviving and celebrating the legends of Kwaito music; while the Hip Hop stage, ‘Turn up’, will be all about “swag”: from bling, to popping bottles.
The ‘Habashwe’ stage will host new and up and coming DJ’s who will have an opportunity to open and play alongside household names and launch themselves.
