South African singer, Nádine will join the legendary Julio Iglesias on stage as his special guest during his upcoming show at the Grand Arena, GrandWest. The concert at GrandWest, one of only three Iglesias will perform in South Africa, takes place on Wednesday, October 19.
“When I heard Nádine’s voice and saw live footage of her performing on stage, I knew I wanted her to make an appearance at my Cape Town show. It is just a matter of time before this lady will conquer Europe and the rest of the world,” said Iglesias.
Nádine has expressed her excited about the opportunity: “My grandmother played Iglesias’s music when I was a little girl so I grew up with songs such as ‘Un Canto A Galicia’, ‘Quere Me Mucho’ and ‘To All The Girls I’ve Love Before’. To perform in my favourite place, Cape Town, on the same stage as one of the biggest artists of all time, is a great honour. It will certainly be one of the most wonderful moments in my career. I cannot wait to sing together with this living legend.”
Nádine has her own television show ‘Musiek Roulette’ and is celebrating her 20 year anniversary in music this year. She is recognised for her songs such as ‘Kaapse Draai’, ‘This Time I Know It’s For Real’, ‘Light in The Sky’ and recently the Afrikaans hit album, ‘Skildery’.
The concert promises an evening of superlative entertainment for Iglesias fans. With an accompanying orchestra, he will perform other timeless songs such as ‘Tango’, ‘Hey’, ‘Moonlight Lady’, ‘Por Una Mujer’ and ‘Crazy, Starry Night’.
