The Cape Town International Boat Show (CTIBS) will be held at one consolidated venue at the V&A Waterfront Marina North Wharf from October 14 to 16, with the largest ever on-water display of luxury craft and a 1 000m2 marquee.
The Western Cape is home to a number of the world’s finest catamaran builders and many of these prestigious marques will be on the water. In addition to the locally manufactured vessels there will be a wide range of exclusive yacht and cruiser brands from around the world. This is one of the few opportunities where visitors are allowed on board to inspect the various luxurious craft.
The dryland exhibition area is situated alongside the water displays. This part of the show will carry a broad range of marine-related products and services; including manufacturers of rigid and semi-rigid runabouts, boat motor manufacturers, safety equipment, and leisure products among others.
For those looking to get their hands wet SA Sailing will be offering short trips aboard one of their training craft. For the more energetic Red Paddle will have a range of their Stand Up Paddle Boards available for demonstration.
Two of SA’s most well-known extreme adventurers – Braam Malherbe and Peter van Kets – will be displaying Mhondoro, the canoe they will use to cross the Atlantic from Cape Town to Rio de Janeiro in January next year.
