Bugz Family PlayPark in Kraaifontein lays claim to being the largest play park in the Western Cape. They have a world of activities for kids who love climbing, jumping, running, exploring, thinking and engaging with a range of zones. The massive outdoor playground has been designed with the intent of challenging little minds, working little muscles and burning off some of that endless energy. The indoor area is filled with obstacles, challenges and “imagination-expanding” fun.
The park is geared towards two-to-ten-year-olds. “But that doesn’t mean mom, dad, granny and aunty won’t enjoy themselves too,” says the management.
A colourful world of pedal cars, horses (and swing horses), row boats, mini tractor rides, mud kitchens, water slides and even a choo-choo train awaits visitors.
There is also a large sandpit play area with super jungle gyms, slides, swings and obstacles to crawl under and over. Playhouses, a tree house and even a castle keep should have imaginations soaring.
The Park is open 364 days of the year between 9am and 5pm. Rides are open during weekends, public holidays and school holidays. Token rides are, however, only open on sunny weekends, public holidays and school holidays. Most of the rides are muscle-powered, giving kids exercise the good old-fashioned way.
Get those city-raised kids moving their bodies, feeding furry friends and learning the skill of gentle and loving care. Megan’s Petting Farm, located outside and open on the weekends, has a happy family of cute creatures for kids to meet, including goats, tortoises, bunnies, geese, ducks, guinea pigs and parrots. It’s a fun way to let little kids feed and care for tame, delightful animals. “We make sure that they’re very well taken care of here at Bugz,” adds management.
The venue also hosts themed birthday parties, taking care of the setup, decorating and clean up, which means more time for moms to really enjoy the special occasion. Parties run all year round, irrespective of weather.
