Flavours of India, the largest Indian shopping festival in the south of Johannesburg, is set to return to Gold Reef City from Thursday, September 22, to Sunday, October 2.
This feast for the senses is a popular and highly rated attraction amongst the Indian community and is best known for bringing guests the best in traditional clothing, homeware and Indian food, including the Durban bunny chow, fried mielies, curry, roti and an assortment of sweet meats.
Cultural enthusiasts can look forward to a variety of exhibitors with authentic Indian cuisine, jewellery, accessories, books, gifts and daily live entertainment. This celebration of culture is a great place to bring the whole family, and offers an entertaining kids play area with a jumping castle and face painting.
“Now in its fourth consecutive year, Gold Reef City is delighted to once again host this explosion of colour, scent and touch, where visitors will be enchanted by an Eastern inspired extravaganza of Indian song and dance, food and fashion,” says Lionel Chetty, Gold Reef City’s Promotions & Events Manager.
“There will be plenty of entertainment, a Bhangra Bash and daily live shows. No one can resist the exotic spices, exquisite jewellery and colourful garments that Flavours of India has on offer – fans simply can’t afford to miss out on this one,” adds Chetty.
Tickets for the Flavours of India spectacular cost R10 per person and are available online or at the entrance.
