Dance on the front foot at KZN’s Hilton Arts Festival

The Hilton Arts Festival will offer various dance options to suit almost any taste when it commences at the Hilton College in Pietermaritzburg, from September 16 to 18.
One of the most anticipated pieces at the festival this year is an enchanting, non-verbal production from Korea, ‘Dallae Story’, which includes traditional Korean dance.

Also on the line up are the ever-popular Searle brothers, who return to the festival for the second time with their dance comedy, ‘Big Boys The Third’. Celebrating 38 years in the SA Dance Industry, Moving Into Dance Mophatong (MIDM) will proudly present ‘Feathers’, a programme of exhilarating new dance works by its male dancers. A must see is the whimsical, short piece ‘One Man One Light’, created by lighting guru Michael Broederick, in which performers Belinda Henwood and Mpilo ‘Straw’ Nzimande share the role over the festival run.
