Capetonian fans of the legendary Julio Iglesias should diarise October 19 when GrandWest welcomes the legendary singer to its stage at the Grand Arena; whilst Joburg fans should mark October 23, when Carnival City’s Big Top Arena will host the crooner. His concerts in South Africa are part of his World Tour.
With an accompanying orchestra, Iglesias will perform timeless songs such as ‘Tango’, ‘Quiereme Mucho’, ‘Hey’, ‘Moonlight Lady’, ‘Un Canto A Galicia’, ‘Por Una Mujer’, ‘Crazy’, ‘Starry Night’ and the timeless hit ‘To All The Girls I Loved Before’. The show promises an audiovisual feast with dancers and spectacular sound.
The Spanish performer has had an illustrious career spanning almost 50 years during which he has sold more than 300 million albums, in 14 different languages, worldwide. The height of his success was during the 1970s and 1980s. He is known across the globe for sentimental hit songs including ‘1110 Bel Air Place’, ‘Non Stop’ and ‘Calor’. Many of his duets such as ‘To All the Girls I’ve Loved Before’ with Willie Nelson, ‘All of You’ with Diana Ross and ‘My Love’ with Stevie Wonder were chart toppers.
