Boogie Boutique to offer monthly platform for SA Hip Hop artists

The Cape Town Hip Hop scene is set for a boost as local artists will be afforded an opportunity to showcase their talent amongst the best in the South African scene at Boogie Boutique, taking place on Saturday, June 25 in Cape Town at “Club 89 on Long”. The series will be taking place every last Saturday of the month.

According to Samora Siwundla, the event Coordinator, “Boogie Boutique” is a platform for live showcasing of established and up and coming local talent.
The Boogie Boutique initiative was established by Writers Bench, a group of creatives looking to provide platforms for the Hip Hop scene. The aim is to grow the interest and participation of the public at each event, with the foresight of establishing a sustainable industry by creating and growing fan bases for local acts.

The event will host top talents the like of YoungstaCPT, Christian Tiger School and Uno July, to name but a few of the participants in the entertainment line up to be showcased on the day. Other artists set to perform on the day are Dj’s Eazy (Good Hope FM), Raiko and Black Wiz.

* Presold tickets are available from Computicket at R60; while cover charge at the door on the night of the event will be R80.
