The Afrikaans diva sings songs from her vast self-penned repertoire, as well as old favourites in French, English and Dutch. She weaves the songs with poetry and stories, with a healthy mix of comedy and pathos thrown in.
Strydom was awarded the Medal Of Honor by the Academy of Arts and Science in 2012 for her contribution to Afrikaans music. This year she won the Fiësta award for best performance in a music driven production for her previous show, ‘Die Hele Boksemdaais’ (The Whole Shebang).
Strydom is accompanied by the talented pianist, Coenraad Rall.
