Take a musical journey “out of the city and into the country”

‘Sing Country’ is a family show that promises to take fans of the music genre “out of the city and into the country”. So take along your cowboy hats, boots and buckles to the Rhumbelow Theatre from May 27 to 29 and let Dave Monks and Marion Loudon transport you to the land of country music.
The production will showcase collection of nostalgic and popular country hits. It will feature covers from more than 20 different artists, including Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, The Carpenters, Shania Twain, John Denver and Kenny Rodgers.

Loudon will give voice to songs like The Carpenters’ worldwide smash hit, ‘Jambalaya’, and Dolly Pardon’s evergreen classic, ‘Jolene’.
Monks will provide guitar and vocals as he glides through songs like ‘Ring of Fire’, ‘The Gambler’, John Denver’s ‘Country Roads’ and ‘I’m Gonna be a Country Boy Again’.
Monks and Loudon have performed all over South Africa, including Sun City, Swaziland, Johannesburg and at many corporate events and festivals. They have also been the voices behind many radio adverts.

* Tickets are R140 and picnic baskets are welcome.
