With album sales in excess of 350000, nine Top Ten radio singles, and more than 700 live performances to his credit Blue is considered one of the most successful artists in our country. In 2010, he was the winner of M-Net’s ‘SA Idols’, creeping into the hearts of fans by when he shared half his winnings with runner-up Lloyd Cele.

Blue’s first album released after this achievement today enjoys platinum sales status with sales in excess of 50000 copies, as well as a 2012 SAMA for Best Adult Contemporary Album.
2013 saw Blue win another three SAMA’s for his album ‘Journey’, in the Male Artist Of The Year, Album Of The Year and Song Of The Year (‘Lifeline’) categories. The release of the single ‘Shine’ in 2015 once again made him the top selling SA artist on iTunes in its first week of release and set the tone for another exciting year. Blue would go on to be honoured by his peers in the industry by being awarded the coveted Wawela Music award for Best Male Artist & Composer.
