Back for its 23rd year, the Johannesburg Homemakers Expo is due to make its return to Egoli.
Taking place from Thursday to Sunday, February 25 to 28, at the Ticketpro Dome, the show promises to wow visitors with the latest in decor and home lifestyle designs.
As always, the show will provide visitors with the latest trends as well as innovate ways to create, decorate and renovate their homes. The line-up includes an exhibition displaying a wide spectrum of home and lifestyle products.
2016 Show Encounters and Experiences
The Builders Arena will come to live with a celebrity theatre, mini DIY demonstrations and a brand new Builders Home Design Restaurant.
Shop in the Get It Done area for specific DIY tools and accessories, whilst enjoying mini product demonstrations and at the same time look out for various specials.
Park in Parking G and use Entrance 7 to walk directly to this DIY heaven.
Inspire Create Innovate Wall with Pentel
Take a tactical tour where you can touch, feel, colour and play around a purposefully designed interactive wall.
Age appropriate for kids from 0 to 100 years.
Located opposite the Builders DIY Theatre, Entrance 7.
The 947 Boxes
The 947 Boxes challenge is a design challenge with a twist. Hosted in collaboration with 947, the challenge will take place within the parameters of two shipping containers. 947 DJ’s Darren Simpson (Breakfast Xpress) and Anele Mdoda (Afternoon Drive) will battle it out in this “decorate the box banter”.
Attendees will be able to vote for their favourite. Two lucky winners will each walk away with R100000 plus worth of content from Floors Direct, Masons in collab with Bosch, Patio Warehouse and Ashley Furniture HomeStore.
Presented in collaboration with the University of Johannesburg’s Industrial Design students and supported by Festool. See how Joburg’s youngest talents move around mowers in their high-tech designs. In this innovative competition the students were challenged to show their take on a rechargeable lawnmower.
Tshepo Seeds Of Hope
Sometimes great things stems from small seeds. Be part of such a great project by visiting the Tshepo Seeds of Hope stand. Make a donation and collect your very own Lucky Bean tree seedling planted by the very men of Tshepo.
Tshepo’s aim is to uplift the local community with job creation in the home improvement sector by means of skills training.

Up in Deli is where visitors will be able to stock up on various culinary delights on offer.
Live By Design
Hosted in collaboration with Room29 and Cementicious.
A brand new curated area to the show. Hand-picked collections of décor and home improvement goods will be on show.
* The show will be open from 10 am to 7 pm on the Thursday and Friday and 9am to 6pm on the Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets will be available at the door at R100 for Adults, R60 for Pensioners and Children under 12 enter for free.
