Benefit concert for diabetes afflicted Cape Town tenor

‘Fuad into the Future’ is a benefit concert for well-known tenor Fuad (Frankie) Sawyer who lost a leg to diabetes a year ago. The event is scheduled to take place at the Joseph Stone Auditorium on Sunday, February 27, at 7.30pm.
Directed by Aviva Pelham, Sawyer will be joined onstage by several colleagues: Nicola Cencherle, James Bhemjee, Ifriky Tadadjeu-Sokeng, Eugene Jaftha, flamenco specialist Saudiq Khan, a Malay choir, a host of former Eaon Group singers, Renee Osborne, Jean Halls and ‘Phantom of the Opera’ star Lana English.
