Mike Bartlett’s thought provoking play ‘Contractions’, first presented by London’s Royal Court Theatre, will debut in South Africa at the Alexander Bar on January 25, running until February 13.
Starring Janna Ramos-Violante (‘Constellations’, ‘Venus in Fur’) and 2015 Fleur du Cap Best Actress winner Emily Child (‘The Pervert Laura’, ‘Born in the RSA’) and directed by Greg Karvellas (‘Bad Jews’, ‘Champ’) this dark comedy explores the transformative dynamics of the corporate world and quite literally the limits we are willing to put on the Company we keep. Sharp, wily and resolute, ‘Contractions’ was first performed on stage at The Royal Court Theatre, London on May 29, 2008.
