After the success of last year’s craft beer, wine, and food pairing appreciation fair at Willowbridge Shopping Centre, in association with The Craft Beer Project, things have been taken up a few notches this year.
This annual event, not only sports the new name Beers & Gears, but has also been re-positioned outdoors on the lush lawns adjacent to the Centre and will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6. Another exciting addition will be the range of cars on show each day – sports cars on the Saturday and classic cars on the Sunday.
The festival will yet again be celebrating the devoted South African artisan beer and wine making culture, will showcase the emerging Micro Brewing Industry in RSA and the strong wine culture of the Northern region. Along with the 15 local craft brewers, and wineries, there will be food trucks offering mouth-watering meals to pair expertly with the beer or wine.
Live bands, a kiddies corner for the wee ones, and of course plenty of space to relax are all additions that make this summer festival in the Northern Suburbs a must to attend.
