Cape Town foodies Oscar and Andrea Foulkes, the dynamic duo behind Dish Food & Social, will be celebrating over a decade of fabulous fare, on Thursday, September 24, at The Red Table eatery at Nederburg. In true South African style, they’ll be dishing up their absolute favourite gourmet braai dishes.
Featuring a blend of cultural influences, their sumptuous spread will also include a “boontjiesop” revved up with chorizo. There will be a fish and prawn biryani with green salad, pork belly on ginger sweet potato mash and for the decadent finalé, chocolate fondant with a peanut butter centre.
Nederburg’s collection of new-generation gourmet wines, aptly called the Heritage Heroes, will be available to savour with the meal. Each one of the five wines is individually named to commemorate a leading Nederburg personality.
While at Nederburg, guests are invited to make a turn at the Old Cellar Museum to discover Nederburg’s special heritage. And stop by the Visitors’ Centre (open from 10am to 4pm), to purchase your own collection of Nederburg’s Heritage Heroes wines. A special promotion will run throughout September (Heritage Month), offering free delivery anywhere in South Africa when purchasing 12 bottles of wine, or multiples thereof, from the Heritage Heroes range.
