What could possibly be better than spending a crisp, autumn Cape Town day surrounded by good food and wine? Gourmet eats, sweet treats, local and internationally acclaimed chefs, premium wines and innovative appliances will be the order of the day at this year’s Good Food & Wine Show. Taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from May 21 to 24, this event is not only tailored for the individual foodie, but promises a gastronomic adventure for the entire family.
Attendees will be able to catch a glimpse of TLC’s Cake Boss, Buddy Valastro; Masterchef Australia Judge Matt Preston; and our very own, Food Network’s Siba Mtongana. All of them will do live cooking demonstrations in the Celebrity Chefs Theatre. Be sure to diarize the date and time of each of their shows, as seating and show times are limited and you definitely do not want to miss out.
Also, there will be a variety of notable local chefs showing off their culinary skills throughout the event.
Other highlights to look out for this year are the Interactive Cooking Theatre, where visitors will be able to cook up a storm under the guidance of a featured culinary artist; Speciality Street, which will showcase locally produced speciality products such as chutneys and cheeses; and ‘The Art of Wine’ section, which will be specifically dedicated to wine and all its ideal food pairings. A big focus at the Good Food & Wine Show this year will be on healthy nutrition and a new area entitled Health Hub will be where visitors can see Lisa Raleigh and be inspired to new heights of healthy living. With more entertainment than ever before, the Good Food & Wine Show will be a taste-bud treat in more ways than one.
