Poetry, food, music, art at True Italic Art Cafe

For the next installment of ‘Miss Kiki presents… Poetry’, wine enthusiasts can expect to mingle with people who love wine almost as much as poets do – The Italians. The host for the show on Wednesday, August 27, is True Italic Art Cafe, situated on 15 Bree Street, Cape Town. The venue boasts an authentic menu prepared by Italian born chef/owner Luca.
As always with a show hosted by published Scottish poet Miss Kiki, attendees can expect a variety of poetry styles and performers, along with a soundtrack provided by popular Electro Swing DJ JP SiLVER, who will be playing background music before the show and performing with a live instrumentalist after the show.

The popular poetry show started in early 2013 and quickly established itself as a favourite on the Cape Town poetry calendar. In the past 18 months, the events have showcased a huge variety if local and international poets in various venues around Cape Town.
Besides the bigger monthly shows, ‘Miss Kiki presents… Poetry’ also makes up part of Swing Cafe Mondays, a variety show staged every Monday at The River club in Observatory. (More details on this at www.facebook.com/TheSwingCafe.)
