Hilarious ‘History of India’ coming to the Joburg Theatre

Ashvin Gidwani’s ‘History Of India’, performed by Bollywood star Vir Das, is a humorous account of India’s history that will have a run on The Mandela stage at the Joburg Theatre, for three shows only from May 30 to June 1.
Das, a stand-up comedian superstar and Bollywood film actor, has joined hands with the celebrated global theatre production house, Ashvin Gidwani Productions, to bring audiences this witty history lesson.

From the cradle of civilization in Harappa, to the Vedas and the advent of the Mughal era, from the East India Company to the freedom struggle until India opened itself to the world in the 1990s, audiences will be able see all of the funny elements that have been a part of that country’s unique heritage.
