Start this Mother’s Day with a leisurely drive out to Nederburg Winery in Paarl, where The Red Table restaurant is waiting to spoil her with a super-tasty feast.
Offered at R230 a head, the menu on May 11 includes a starter of slow-roasted tomato soup with herb croutons, roast leg of lamb with rich onion gravy and mint jelly, chicken and mushroom pot pies, roasted potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower gratin, seasonal vegetables, salad, as well as pumpkin and cinnamon fritters. To top it all is sticky toffee pudding served with crème Anglaise for all, and a special surprise just for mom.
The Red Table, created in collaboration with well-known Cape Town foodie Andrea Foulkes, offers locally sourced fresh, light food in a comfortable, relaxed and cosy atmosphere.
