Collison and Loring to pay tribute to mothers everywhere

Richard Loring, Shannon Lewis, Colleen Meje, Dance Sensation, Nick “Floorkiller” and his Dance Team, Rodney Fredericks and Faried Swarts are some of the names that will head the bill for Alvon Collison’s tenth year of Mother’s Day concerts at Cape Town City Hall on Sunday, May 11, starting at 3pm.
‘The Mother’s Day Show’, a two and a half hour presentation, will include prizes to be won, songs, dancing, laughter, tears, but most of all tributes to mothers, especially Collison’s own mother Angela, The Midwife of Cape Town who delivered more than 3000 babies in her own lifetime, but mostly, entertainment of a high calibre.

Loring and Collison, who starred together in ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ more than 40 years ago and have remained friends throughout the years, will be on stage together to bring back memories and happy times for all their friends and fans. They will also be singing songs from ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ at the concert, as well as various other well-loved songs and stories.
It promises to be a special event, with some of South Africa’s top performers, all on stage for one special show.
Tea, refreshments and koeksisters are included in the ticket price of R60.
