With public holiday season being in full swing, the V&A Waterfront has taken the opportunity to extend their amphitheatre entertainment with an exciting line-up of top-notch performances to look forward to. Best of all, it’s free.
Last weekend audiences got to enjoy five-piece classic indie pop band Al Bairre, acoustic comedy act the Brothers Streep and reggae group the Rivertones.
This weekend The Pennsylvanian Crooning Minstrels are sure to get the crowd’s hips swinging from 1.15pm to 1.45pm on Sunday, April 27, after half an hour of marching across the property. This group of crooning minstrels have dominated the Carnival competition scene for more than a decade and are regarded as the elite. They are followed by Mpho and Uvimba from 2.30pm to 3.30pm, an eight-piece jazz band that can usually be found performing locally at various jazz venues.
