Theatrical family fun with ‘Fairytale Rocks’ for Durban

The family friendly show ‘Fairytale Rocks’, which incorporates a variety of Disney movies intertwined in a love story, can be seen at the iZulu Theatre at Sibaya Casino in Durban from Thursday to Monday, April 17 to 21.
Audiences will be able to join Alistar, the hero, and his friend Farryl as they set out on a journey to find Alistar’s princess, the beautiful Ariana. Along the way, the performers will hit the high notes from all of Disney and Pixar’s song classics; ‘Aladdin’, ‘The Lion King’, ‘Cinderella’, ‘Toy Story’, ‘Mulan’, ‘The Jungle Book’, ‘The Little Mermaid’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Hercules’, and of course the recent release, ‘Frozen’.
Pinetown-raised musician and actor Steve Peralto plays Alistar, Xania Osorio plays Ariana and 2010 Top Ten Idols performer Boki Ntsime plays the faithful friend Farryl.

Assisting the heroes on their quest for love will be six top dancers from around South Africa. Performing alongside the leads will be Rethabile Sefodi, Jeremia Banda, Monique Bouwer, Ayanda Mthimkhulu, Lyrinda Venter and Megan Black. The show will also feature a rocking live band with Marc Wilson on drums, brothers Daniel on guitar and Doultan Robson on bass.
The fairy tale hits have been remixed to the sounds of today featuring hip hop, pop, swing, reggae, rock, country and much more.
